As with any campaign website, opening to a message about the candidate and a plea for help is essential in building early connections for future help. Below is the splash page presented to site viewers when first visiting the site.

Dependent upon the outcome of several states (Tennessee and Oklahoma, specifically) there are several possible scenarios of expectations. If Newt Gingrich can pull off victories in his home state of Georgia and one of two other possible election day swing states, he most certainly will re-emerge (round 3) as a front-runner. Santorum will maintain his status as a second-tier candidate with little hope of pulling off the nomination, in any situation.

If Mitt Romney can win states in which he wouldn’t typically identify with voters (Massachusetts, Nevada), he will maintain his status as front-runner and solidify the inevitability of his nomination.

I, as a Newt fan ( #withNewt ), am anticipating the outcomes fervently. I’ll elaborate more when I have access to Dragon Dictation and cross-tabs of exit polls!

As a student of rhetoric, ardent debater, and avid history buff, many a speech has been listened to, read, and/or studied by myself. Of all the rulers that ever ruled and leaders that ever led, no speech seems to encompass the fight for equality, liberty and unity. I disagree with portions of the verbiage due to modern connotations, but classically speaking, this embodies the struggle we should all aim to attain.

An entire book could be written on the content of this speech; it summarizes the fight for which I have committed myself: liberty and the love of humanity.

We should all at least know and fully understand Barack Obama is not working and must be replaced in 2012. The only problem we as a nation and as the Republican Party is just to find out which person should fill his shoes. This is something I have struggled with and have watched many of the top political pundits in America today ponder as well.

As I’ve considered the viable candidates, which come down to Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul, I’ve debated with myself on whether to follow my beliefs (RonPaul2012.com) or what I feel is best for the country (Newt.org). For me, foreign policy and national security are still very important issues even in pressing economic times such as these and Rep. Paul is hard to trust. Not only this, I feel Speaker Gingrich has the plans necessary to point our economy towards success, rather than the track to failure we’re on now.

Every candidate has their problems, its the one’s with the solutions that matters.

While all candidates have problems, and “bones in their closets”, we need several things in our party’s nominee and eventual President. First and foremost, we need a leader who will actually lead. Second, we need a candidate who will represent America amicably and exceptionally on the world stage. Third, we need someone who will bring to the table both ideas and solutions proven to work and the ability to work across party lines while maintaining conservative principles.

Based on these three requirements, I am left to choose Newt Gingrich. I would love to elaborate on my many reasons, however I am committed to keeping my post short, sweet, and to the point! Take a look at his solutions: http://newt.org/solutions/

Let me know what you think!

It was a beautiful day – characteristic of Western Kentucky summers, no doubt. The morning was stormy and gloomy, however as soon as I began my journey through the countryside the skies cleared, heat raised, and humidity steamed. Little did I know the afternoon would be filled with just as much storm as the morning had brought.

I had never been to the Fancy Farm Picnic, so I wasn’t familiar with the atmosphere and culture. Waiting for the speeches was something I could barely stand; it seemed like an eternity. Finally, the announcements were made, and speeches began. Senator McConnell began his time by paying tribute to the soldiers that had died just days before in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan, which is the tone I then expected for the day. However as soon as the moment of silence was complete, the fiery rhetoric of mudslinging began. Senator McConnell’s was lighthearted in most respects, including joking with the Governor about their race in 1996 saying “it was over so fast, he (McConnell) was able to deliver his victory speech and catch an afternoon movie”. Next to speak was “Kentucky’s rising-star Republican” Senator Rand Paul. He too joked about the other candidates, specifically his 2010 opponent Jack Conway, and spoke to the necessity of electing Republican state leadership.

All in all, the candidates of both parties gave exceptional speeches. One to watch for is James Comer, candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture.

I encourage you to listen to the speeches here: http://ket.org/fancyfarm/!

Just another reason to disagree with the President: exactly what I was in need of. Okay, you obviously know that was a joke. Over the past few months, I’d ceased watching Glenn Beck; I was sick of his blah blah about the end of the world… a bit too depressing for me. This week, Tuesday actually, I got home about 4PM and thought, “I’ll check Glenn Beck out!” So I flipped over to 360 (Fox News) to see what he had to say. He was discussing the occurrences in Israel and uprisings in the Arabic nations saying that Jerusalem was in danger of being split up, having the historic areas controlled by Muslims and closed to Jews and Christians. He went on to explain the loss of Israel would cause the breakdown of the Western world. Also, he said “you are probably thinking ‘what the hell does this have to do with me?’ Well here’s your answer: it doesn’t now, but it soon will.” As in many other cases, I considered it another conspiracy theory and viewed it as craziness. Several days later, not quite several, just two, I came home and proceeded to do the same. When his show came on, so did the headlines of President Obama slinging a major slap in the face of our only reliable, remaining ally – Israel. After hearing his words “The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine.” Okay, Sir, the “United States” doesn’t agree with this… You and your liberal cronies do. He then continued, “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states,” which is even less agreeable. These “1967 lines” are just what Beck was alluding to when talking about Jerusalem. After the video of Obama played, Glenn Beck appeared on screen saying “I told you it would affect you, I just didn’t think it would so soon.” He couldn’t be more right. If your Judeo-Christian, your scriptures say any nation against Israel will fail. Knock knock… God doesn’t lie! If your not Judeo-Christian, it’s a common sense thing… There is ONE standing, working democracy in the Middle East; one free country: Israel. Why would you risk loosing that for some crazy Muslims whose goal is to eliminate an entire race? HELLO! I could go on for several days, but 415 words are enough.
